Preparing for Christmas

This weekend we started preparations for Christmas.  On Saturday we headed out to a local tree farm

 to hunt for a tree.

 This was our way of measuring the tree's height.  Daddy said we had to keep it at 10 feet this year.

 Beckett wanted to make sure to find the perfect tree.

 Pierce found this stick and decided it was his tree.  He even planted it a few times.

 Sterling agreed it was the perfect tree.

 Daddy and Beckett worked as a team to cut it down.

 Afterwards the boys warmed up with some hot chocolate

 and Daddy tied the tree to the car.

 The next morning we got right to work,

 decorating the tree.

 Pierce got a little help from Grandma.

 Daddy put the tree topper on.

 Grandma and the boys painted Christmas ornaments

 and made a nativity.

 

Sterling was right there watching.  

This is our favorite time of year!
