Weekend Adventures

We have spent a lot of time up the river the last couple of days.

 

 Pierce can usually be found under the umbrella snacking.

 What a great way to spend the afternoon. 

 Pierce LOVES throwing rocks at the river.

 On Saturday we took up the kayak for a little boating.

It is always more fun when Daddy comes up river with us.

 Saturday night we had the Olson family over for a BBQ.

 Beckett loves "his Olsons" (this is what he calls them).

Last night we went to our little friend, Dublin's 5th birthday party.

 The party was held at the new indoor play center

 and the boys loved it.

 There was a large play structure, which Beckett spent most of the time running around in.

 It also had a cute little toddler area. 

 Beckett and Lauren ended the party with a friendly game of air hockey. 

Look What Washed Up on the Beach!!

Guess what washed up on the beach?!?  A Sperm Whale!

 Today we took the kids down to the beach to see the 40 ft. whale.

 There was a bone sticking out from the whale

 and another one that washed up near by.  Here are the kids standing on it. 

The smell was pretty awful!

 The wildlife ranger said it had been dead for awhile, but had just washed up on the shore yesterday. 

 The boys could not stand the smell and climbed some rocks to get away!

 Afterwards we headed to the park for a little fun with our pals.  Ahhh..fresh air!!

GG's Birthday

Over the weekend we headed to Medford to throw GG a birthday party.

 Grandma was the party planner and I was her assistant. 

 Instead of having a guest book, each guest wrote a birthday message on a rock. 

 Beckett helped Grandpa assemble GG's new rocking chair. 

 I only took a few pictures from the party since we had a photographer come and shoot pictures of the party.  We can't wait to see them!

 Beckett had lots of fun with his cousins. 

 The cousins had a big water balloon fight.

 Even Pierce got in on the action.
