All Ready for Bed

One of Beckett's favorite times of day is story time with Daddy, right before bed.  Tonight Ellie decided to join them.  Apparently a toddler bed is fit for 3!!

New Word

Tonight Pierce said a new word!  Tonight after he finished eating, he pointed towards the bathroom and said, "bath" which is something we do each night after dinner time.  What a smartie!!  This is his third word he has spoken. :)

Trip to Corvallis

This weekend we headed to Corvallis for the Beaver game.  

 The highlight of the trip for Beckett was the swimming pool at the hotel.

 Little Pierce loved the water,

 almost as much as Big Brother did!

 Saturday morning we visited one of our favorite spots in Corvallis...New Morning Bakery. 

 Then we headed to campus, where we hung out at the OSU bowling alley. 

 Mommy and Beckett played some air hockey

 and Daddy and Beckett played some Foosball. 

 Then we walked over to the basketball game.

 Pierce put on his beaver gear and Benny the Beaver pass for the big game.

 Oregon State played Washington State. 

 The boys watched the game intently.  It was a close one!

 Uncle Eric came to the game too!

 Unfortunately the Beavers lost and it was time to go home.  We had a couple of tired Beaver Believers on the ride back.

Around the House

A special gift came in the mail this week... Beckett and Pierce got their Benny the Beaver Membership Cards!  Beckett was so excited that he wore the lanyard around the house all afternoon. 

 This week we also whipped up a new batch of play dough. 

 It smelled delicious

 and was super fun to play with.

 Our sweet neighbor, Bob, came over with some Tinkertoys for the boys. 

 Hours were spent building with these...

 Building is one of Beckett's favorite things to do.  He loves his Legos, blocks, Tinkertoys, trains, but his favorite are the MagnaTiles.  He got these for Christmas and plays with them every day. 

 A new interest for Beckett is photography.  Whenever he sees the camera out, he asks for a turn.  So here are a few of his latest pics...

GG's House

The last few days the boys and I spent over in Medford, with GG.

 Beckett enjoyed the snuggles from GG and he got to play a few games of Angry Birds.

 The boys loved GG's big bed and even got to watch a movie on it!

Morning at the Beach

For the last two weeks Beckett has been asking to go to the beach.  Pierce got some really neat beach toys for his birthday, so Big Brother has been wanting to break them in.  This morning Beckett loaded up Pierce and the sand toys in the wagon and we took off for the beach. 

 Beckett loved every minute of playing in the sand,

 while Little Brother sat back and enjoyed his snack.

 On the way back, Beckett decided he was too tired from all the playing to walk.  :)

Party Time

This afternoon the we headed to a birthday party for our pals, Oliver and John.  

 At the party, there was rollerskating. Beckett had a hard time at first staying on his feet,

 but in no time he was doing great!  -With a little assistance :)

 Pierce loved running around the old roller rink and dodging the kids on skates and bikes.

 There was a treasure hunt, where the kids searched the party for gold coins. 

 Then they turned in the coins for prizes.

Date Night

Tonight Beckett and Mommy went on a date.  We were joined by a few of our friends and their mommies.  

 First stop was dinner, where the kids enjoyed fancy frozen drinks. 

 Then we headed to the production of  "The Emperor's New Clothes" at the Children's Theater.  

 It was a great play and we were so excited to watch a few of our friends perform in it.  They had us all cracking up in our seats.

Last night our furnace went out.  This morning we woke up to a VERY chilly house!

 The boys played in their coats and hats all morning long. 

 Beep Beep!

 Beckett was so involved in his Legos that I don't even think he noticed that the house was FREEZING!

 This morning Daddy did started the fireplace, for the first time since we have lived here.  It helped warm up the front of the house and got us out of the 50's.  We felt very blessed to have a little heat and some friends with a warm house to go hang out with this morning. 

This evening the heating company finally fixed the furnace and we are warm again!
