Letter F

The letter F week was a busy one for us!
We focused on the letter F, number 6, color purple and square.
F is for Flowers
Beckett had been asking to plant some flowers in our front yard.
Sterling wanted in on the fun too!
Beckett found a worm in the soil.
Daddy had to get in there and help churn up the extremely hard soil.
The boys planted our tulip bulbs.  We can't wait to see them in the spring!
Our verse of the week was a long one, so we focused on what the verse meant instead of memorizing it.
F is for Fly and Florida
This week we said goodbye to Papa, as he flew back to Florida.
Beckett worked on some practice sheets in his workbook.  This kid is amazing!  He is always asking to do more.
Sterling was right there cheering big brother on.
 F is for Fall
We went to the library and made a scarecrow.
The boys added some pretty fancy decorations to ours.
"Darth Vadar Scarecrow" was pretty awesome!  So awesome that he won the "Most Spirited" award!
Our devotion this week was F is for Forgiveness.
 We painted the color wheel
and reviewed all six colors that we have worked on.
 Foil F
 F is for Friends
This week we had two mornings of play dates.  Friends make life so much more fun!
Beckett still looks forward to working on ABC Mouse each week.
The boys used stickers to put their names on their work.
Our Bible story this week was about Joseph and how he forgave his brothers.
 F is for Frozen Yogurt
F is for Family Artwork
Sterling started the project by painting a little on the canvas.
Then Beckett and Pierce had a turn.
 Ta-Da
Then Mommy put painters tape all over the canvas
and Daddy painted in between the tape.
Once the paint dried, we pulled off the tape and we had a masterpiece that all of us had worked on.
F is for Food
Beckett made Sterling some delicious baby food.
 F is for Farm
We went out to French Prairie Farm in St. Paul, with Auntie Tera and Cousin Mason.
There were so many fun things to do, like this giant slide.
 "Come on down, Mason!"
 WAHOOOOO!
Sterling kicked back and enjoyed watching the big boys.
 Tires
and More Tires
The boys climbed up the hay stairs,
 then slid down the slide
 into a hay maze.
 The Three Musketeers
Go Beavs!
At the farm, there was an obstacle course
 that the kids completed.
Beckett is getting much braver these days.
The favorite activity was the slide area.
 WHEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Pure Excitement
Sterling was not too sure about the big slide,
so Momma and him went on the little one.
The boys got to see some farm animals.
 "Hello, Mr. Goat!"
They even fed some of the animals.
Finally we headed out to the pumpkin patch
to find the perfect pumpkin.
 Beckett
 Pierce
 Sterling
We always have so much fun with Auntie Tera and Mason.
 Momma and Her Boys
 Cousins are the best!
 We packed a lunch
and enjoyed it at the farm.
 Yummy!
When we got home, Beckett worked on a sequencing activity about his time at the farm.
I told Beckett to draw the activities, but then he wanted to write the words.
F is for Free Cookie Day at the Bank
The boys deposited their piggy bank money into their college funds and enjoyed a tasty treat.
F is for Friday Family Night
We went to dinner downtown
and then came home to watch a movie.
Here is Beckett's work sample for the week...
Never mind the Mario Brothers costume.  He just got it today and did not want to take it off.  I finally got him to take it off when we went out to dinner!
