Long Beach

This weekend we headed up to Long Beach, Washington.
We met Papa and Mimi up there and stayed at a house on the bay.
 The boys played games
and even found an old piano to play on.
Papa and Daddy were the chefs for the weekend.
Beckett found an old rope swing.
Papa fixed it, so it was a swing.
 WEEEEEE!
 YAHOOOOO!
Sterling thought the boys were hilarious on the swing.
The house was steps from the bay.  The boys used their binoculars to watch the birds.
They were also very interested in how the tide came in and out.
Saturday morning we headed down to the docks.
We found the Miss Ellie boat.
Beckett was excited to try our his new fishing pole from Uncle Bob.
We fished off the end of the dock.
Beckett enjoyed putting the different lures on his pole.
Pierce used his Batman fishing pole.
Papa showed Beckett some different techniques.
Unfortunately we did not catch any fish.
But we did have fun watching all the boats come in and out of the port
 and making memories.
That afternoon we headed to the beach.
We found a beach full of driftwood.
It was super chilly and windy.  The big boys decided to make us a little house to stay warm in,
while Pierce pretended to be a Ninja Turtle.
The driftwood house was great and helped protect us from the wind.
 The Lunde Boys
Sterling was a good sport about the cold weather.  He was still all smiles.
It was great to be back at the beach again.
Saturday night we roasted marshmallows.
The boys put on their headlamps and got right to work.
 So Fun
Sunday morning we got up early
and headed out to the bay,
 while the tide was out.
We found lots of oysters out there.
It was like a treasure hunt.
The boys did a great job finding the oysters and even had to rescue Mommy a few times when she got stuck in the mud.
When we got back to the house, Papa showed us how to shuck the oysters and clean them.
We had a great time with Papa and Mimi.
