Letter C

This week we worked on the letter C, the number 2, the shape of circle and the color yellow.  Our verse of the week was...
We started off the week with making the letter C with cotton balls,
 to look like clouds.
The boys practiced putting the letters in their names in order, with these blocks.
 Ta-Da!
ABC Mouse is one of their favorite activities each week. Being on the computer is a big reward!
We dipped chalk in water to practice writing our C's, 3's and circles. The water makes the chalk a different consistency.
This week we read the story about Abraham and Sarah in the Bible.  We talked a lot about patience and how hard it can be sometimes.
For fine motor, the boys practiced putting Cheerios on the spaghetti noodles.  Well, Beckett practiced and Pierce ate!
 Chalk Drawing
 Cookie Making
The boys made cookies in the shape of C and 3.
Then we were able to share the cookies with our friends!
 Beckett practiced writing.
We made a sun, out of the two shapes we have learned about.
For science, we did an experiment with celery.  We put the celery in glasses of colored water to see what would happen.
 Pretty!
Cousin Mason came over on Friday!
Cutting starts with a C, so Papa and the boys cut some limbs off of our trees.
Camping also starts with a C.  Here is Sterling in his camping high chair...
The boys have been asking to go camping all this summer.  With everything going on, we have not been able to.  So what better way to celebrate the letter C than by camping in the backyard.
We even got out the fire pit.
 Smores
Family Fun
The boys all slept outside in the tent, while Mommy and Sterling were snug in their beds in the house.
Sterling was not too sure about the whole thing.
 C is for Cooking
Beckett continued to work in his letter book this week.
We finished off the week with a little corn painting.
The boys were not too sure at first.
 But they got into it!
 Messy art is always fun!
Papa and Sterling watched from the sidelines.
Pierce had fun exploring what color red and yellow made.
The letter C was so much fun to learn about!
