First Week of Preschool- Letter A

We had orignally planned on putting Beckett into preschool this fall, but decided to hold off and re-evaluate him possibly going in January.  So this week we started Mommy Preschool.  Our first week included working on the letter A, #1, shape- triangle and color-red.
Pierce was right there with Beckett learning too.  He decided that he liked writing the letter O better.
 A is for Applesauce
 The boys worked together
to make 9 quarts of applesauce.
I found this awesome kid's devotional.  This week the letter A stood for asking.  The devotion was about talking to the Lord and asking.
The bible story we read was about Jesus walking on the sea.  We talked about faith and believing even when you can't see things.  I asked the boys if they thought there was a star inside the apple.  They said NO WAY!  We talked about having faith to believe it, even when they could not see it.  Then we cut the apple and guess what we found...
We used the apples to make apple prints.
 Painting is so much fun!
Our snacks were applesauce, ants on a log and almonds.
I signed up for this awesome computer program called ABC Mouse.  Beckett worked on two lessons, covering the letter A and number 1.  He was SUPER excited to be on the computer.
Beckett was very focused throughout the week on his lessons.  Each morning the first thing he would ask was to do preschool.
We learned about the ant life cycle
 and drew ants.
Beckett had lots of practice making triangles.
 Our verse of the week....
I am keeping a book of Beckett's work.
At the end of the week, this was his writing...
and here are some of the projects we did.  Pierce's work is included too! :)  The green picture is a drawing of our family.  The family drawing went along with our verse of the week.
It was a busy, fun week of learning.  Next stop, the letter B!

Good job, Beckett and Pierce. Hard to believe Beckett is old enough for Pre School. They are little for such a short time. You are a great teacher, Mommy!
