Surgery Day

Today was surgery day for Mr. Beckett.

This morning we headed to Kaiser bright and early, since Beckett was the first case of the day.
The care at Kaiser was amazing!  Beckett was excited when they gave him a menu of items he could pick from, to make his day more special.  He picked an extra blanket and video game.
They even gave him a couple of gifts.
Pierce and Sterling received gifts too.
While Beckett was in surgery, Daddy and Pierce explored outside the hospital.
This kid is getting so big!
The surgery went great and there were no complications.  The first thing Beckett said when he woke up was that he wanted to the video game back.  The poor kid could barely open his eyes and hold up his head and he was asking for the game.
Once we got back to Nana's house, we set up a comfy recovery area.
Pierce said he wanted to be the nurse and help Brother, but he ended up wanting to be a patient and enjoyed the treats and movies.
Within a few hours of surgery, Beckett was walking around and even dancing a little.
What a trooper!

Four Wheeling

The boys were excited to hear that Grandpa Frank got the four wheeler running again.
So tonight we headed over to their house for a ride.
Look at that smile!  Beckett was in heaven!
The boys figured out to fish tail the four wheeler and boy, did they think that was fun!
I have a feeling this is just the start...

A Bunch of Boys

Today after church we headed over to the Larsens .  The boys were excited to play with their cousins.
These superheros had a yummy lunch,
while the two little cousins played.

Mason's Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Cousin Mason's 3rd birthday.  The theme was Superheros.
 Uncle Neal was the chef.
The boys all wore their superhero gear.
Auntie made it down for the party.  Sterling was excited to see her.
 Look at this big boy!
 The Party
Mason is blessed to have an awesome set of parents.
 The food was delicious!
Sterling napped in the shade during the party.
 Birthday Boy
 Happy Birthday, Mason!
During the party, Batman (aka Daddy) showed up.
I think Daddy gets the Uncle of the Year award.
 Mason gave Batman thumbs up!
Some of the kids did not want to get in the group picture.  I think Batman frightened them a little.
 Cheers to Batman!
"Thanks for coming to my party, Batman!"

Scheduled Surgery

Today Beckett had an appointment with a pediatric surgeon. We scheduled a hernia repair for next week.  Please keep the little guy in your prayers.  This will be his third hernia repair this year, but hopefully his last!

Baby Kane

Today we headed to the hospital to meet Uncle Brett and Aunt Heidi's new baby. The boys were super excited to meet their new cousin. We made them a banner.  If you look close you can see where Beckett wrote the baby's name.
Kane Neal Lunde was born today.  He is beautiful!
While we were there, Kane was alert and taking in his 3 older cousins.
 Proud Daddy

These two are only 4 months apart in age.
 What a sweet, sweet blessing!

Portland Aquarium

This morning the boys and I headed to the Portland Aquarium.
The first thing the boys wanted to do was feed the sharks and rays.
 It was pretty cool!
Sterling kicked back in the stroller and watched all the excitement.
There was a fun climbing area for the kids to get their wiggles out.
Pierce was so interested in all the hands on pools.
Beckett touched a couple of things. :)
 Little Buds
Then the boys got to feed the tropical fish.
Look at this fun guy we found!
It was a great morning of exploring and learning about all types of animals.
