Cannon Beach

On Friday we headed to the coast to get out of the heat.  We were excited to put on our sweatshirts!

 The truth is that the sweatshirts lasted about 20 minutes and then the heat followed us there.  Our first stop in Cannon Beach was one of our favorite coffee shops, Insomnia Coffee.  Then we headed to the bakery in town for some Haystack Cheese Sticks.

Sterling is quite the character these days.  His excitement came from jumping on top of the sand castles.  

 Beckett spent most of the time burying Pierce in the sand.

 Sterling wanted to be buried too!

 After lunch we headed back to the beach to fly kites.

These are the kites the boys saved their money up to buy.
