Applesauce

The other night my sweet friend, Katie, showed a few of us ladies how to can applesauce. 
 Mary and I decided to try and take all that we had learned and put it into practice. 
 So a few nights later, we gathered our supplies and got to work in the kitchen. 
 Unfortunately it was not as easy as it had looked.  We had several mishaps along the way. 
 The beginning of the evening was spent washing dishes and trying to get the burnt apples off the pans.  Finally after several hours, we got the hang of it. 
 Tonight we finished canning all 72 pounds of apples.  Look at those smiles...we were excited!!!
 We ended up with regular, blackberry and Red Hot candy applesauce.
