Memorial Day Weekend

Our sweet friends, The Duvall Family, came down for Memorial Day Weekend.  We kicked off the festivities on Saturday morning with a little fishing.

 Beckett talked about fishing all week, but when it came time to catch the fish, he was a little nervous.

 Next stop was Rays, for some yummy donuts. 

 While we were waiting for the parade to start, we walked around and looked at all the vendors.

 On Sunday we headed down to our favorite ice cream shop, Slugs N' Stones.

 After our tasty treat, it was time for the slug race. 

 The boys had found three slugs the day before to race. 

 First they put the slugs in the bags.

 Daddy was not too excited to touch them.

 The way the race worked was the first slug out of the bag won. 

 We cheered and cheered our slugs on.  Pierce's slug almost won, but another slug pulled ahead at the end.

 We ended our weekend with a trip to the beach.
