Memorial Day 2015
For Memorial Day Weekend, we headed to Newport to enjoy a weekend with family.
The boys have been asking to make crafts with the Art Jar that Grandma Naomi got them. So this was the perfect time for ALL that fun!
We spent lots of time in the kitchen, making yummy food!
Sterling is always excited about food!
The boys had saved their money up and bought kites. They were finally able to use them on a windy evening.
Beckett and His Kite
High in the Sky
Sterling squealed and pointed at the kites.
Perfect Evening for Kites
It was a little too windy at the beach for smores, but Uncle Brett and Aunt Heidi thought ahead and we roasted marshmallows back at the house.
The boys loved this!
"Can I have one more?!?"
Everyday the boys wanted to go swimming.
Pierce is slowly starting to feel more comfortable in the water.
Beckett is a little water dog these days.
The water was really warm, so Sterling kicked back in Nana's arm and enjoyed it.
Whether it was windy or chilly or warm, the boys wanted to be at the beach.
Daddy and Pierce
Sterling and Cousin Kane
This was Kane's first time in the sand, so he was too busy exploring to look at Auntie. :)
Sweet Sterling
The crew enjoyed an afternoon in the front yard.
Beckett soaked in some sun.
Sterling played some football.
One day we headed to the port to see the sea lions.
Sterling was fascinated.
Ellyse and Her Buddy, Pierce
We even saw a pirate ship!
What trip to the beach is complete without ice cream?!?
We explored some of the shops.
On Sunday we celebrated Cousin Kane's 10 month birthday!
The boys brought their scooters
and rode all over the neighborhood.
Today we headed to the beach one last time.
The boys would have spent the whole day there if we had let them.
Beckett's Rock Collection
Daddy and His Boys
Beckett dug a hole for his brothers.
Trucks are so much more fun at the beach.
A Weekend to Remember...
