Yay, it is our family's favorite time of year...Christmas. Today we started our advent activities.
Day 1: Cut down a Christmas tree and decorate it. Add your new special ornament to the tree.
So on our drive back from Portland, we stopped at a tree farm to find the perfect tree.
Searching for the perfect tree took a little more time than we thought.
Beckett kept telling us we needed a big tree and he did not want a Charlie Brown tree.
On the hunt
Finally we found it.
Ta-Da
Then Daddy had to tie up the tree real tight for the long drive home.
What an adventure!
The tree did not look that big on the farm,
but once we unwrapped it, it was a little too big.
Daddy did some trimming, while the boys pulled out all the ornaments.
They had so much fun looking at them all.
Time to decorate
A couple of weeks ago, the boys had each picked out a new Christmas ornament. Here they are...
Beckett put the finishing touches on the tree.
