This One Is For Grandma

Today Beckett's Grandma came over to play. She wanted to hear him laugh. We did not realize that all we needed was Ellie the Dog to make him laugh.

Weekend Trip to Portland

This weekend we took another road trip to Portland. We had a great time, as you can see by Beckett's face. He loves going to his Nana's house! Beckett's Uncle Eric turned 17 while we were there.
During the birthday party, Beckett made a discovery...he can get his toes into his mouth!! Fun times!!
He is sure flexible. :) On Saturday night Grant's brother, Brett, invited us to his Murder Mystery party. Brett wrote the script and then invited 20 friends to come and act out the parts. At the end of the night we had to try and solve the murder mystery.
Here is a picture of Grant and I in our costumes. Grant was Chief Swifteye and I was the mayor's wife, actually his widow since he was the one killed. A side note: Neither Grant nor I were the killers!Beckett taking his first piano lesson from his dad.

Summer BBQ At The Couch's House

While we were in Portland, we had the pleasure of going over to the Couch's house for a BBQ. I met Hannah when we were both nannies in the Hamptons one summer. We traveled across the country before meeting, but now we both live in the same state! Here is a cute picture of Beckett and I with the Couch Clan. Aren't their kids adorable?! Kelly cooked up some great burgers that day. Kelly's motto is "Go bloated or go home" and we certainly did so.
The Lunde's :)
Hannah giving Beckett lots of snuggles. He LOVED every minute of it!

Beckett's Baptism

While we were in Portland, Beckett was baptised. Grant's cousin, Pastor Travis, performed the baptism at his church out in Damascus. Here is Beckett looking cute in his baptism outfit. We were excited to have my cousin, Tera, and Grant's brother, Brett, be Beckett's godparents. The five of us :)Here is an action shot of Pastor Travis and Beckett. Beckett let out one little squeal and then he was quiet. I think he was confused and thought it might be bath time! He loves it when Grant washes his hair at bath time and as soon as Travis touched his head he was quiet! :)Beckett had a lot of special family come to the baptism. Here are just a few of the people!
Beckett, Great Grandma Thelma, and Great Aunt DoloresBeckett, Uncle Neal, Aunt TeraAfter the baptism we went back to Beckett's Great Grandpa and Grandma's house for lunch. Here he is relaxing after a hard morning work. He was happy to be with family!Grant was a proud daddy. Here he is filming Uncle Eric on his new camcorder.

4 Month Check-Up

Today Beckett had his 4 month check-up, but actually he is 4 1/2 months now. He now weighs 17 lbs. 4 oz. and is in the 75th percentile for weight. He is 26 3/4 inches tall and is in the 90th percentile for height. We were told several times by the doctor and nurse that we have a healthy, big boy!
When I was pregnant the doctor detected a dropping of his heart beat, every 20 beats. We were told it would most likely clear up on its own. Well today the doctor discovered that it is gone! We feel very blessed to have a healthy baby!

Look At My Feet!

At the beginning of the month, Beckett found his toes. Ever since then he has been playing with them! :)

Happy First Father's Day, Grant!

Grant's First Father's Day!

Beckett and I wanted to make his dad's first Father's Day special, so we did a few things for him. We went shopping and got him a tent to go camping with this summer, socks, and a cute mouse pad with our pictures on it!
For lunch we took Grant out to eat at Whaleshead Restaurant. Beckett enjoyed looking at all the mounted animals on the walls.
By the end of the day we were all exhausted! Here is Beckett and his dad at their favorite time of day! Each night the guys have their "special time" while Grant gives Beckett his bath and puts him to sleep. Grant is a GREAT dad!

In the Garden

We went over to Medford this weekend. Beckett and I spent some time with his GG. Here are a few cute pictures of Beckett discovering GG's beautiful garden. He ate a few pedals while he was out there!
Beckett's favorite toy is a safari giraffe and now he has the outfit to match.

Lunch Time with Dad

Beckett and his dad at lunchtimeBeckett must be hungry!Lookin' sad since dad had to go back to work :(

Beckett Hanging Around the House

Beckett's favorite thing is definitely not tummy time! He has already rolled over from his back to his front, but we are still working on the front to the back. So we have been having tummy time a lot more frequently these days!!
What a cutie pie in the Air Jordan outfit! His dad loves dressing him up in Nike or OSU gear. I think Beckett has the best wardrobe in the family. :)
Beckett still loves his giraffe that Mary gave him!

Fun Before Bath Time

Here is a cute video of Beckett and his dad playing before bath time. Beckett has started giggling lately and it is the cutest thing!

Officially a Stay at Home Mom

Today was my last day of school. I have decided to take a year leave of absence to stay home with Beckett. These last five weeks of teaching have been great! My class was wonderful this year and I was glad I was able to come back from maternity leave and wrap up the year with the kids. But it was tough leaving Beckett each day, even though I knew he was in great hands! Here is a picture of Beckett and I celebrating school being over. He is so cute!

Hula Nights

For the past couple of months the Lunde's and Olson's have been getting together for theme dinner nights. This past weekend we had the Olson's over for Hawaiian Night. The kids got into the spirit!

Happy 4 Month Birthday Baby Beckett!

Today Beckett is officially 4 months old! He is amazing to watch. Last night he found his toes during bath time. He was trying to get them in his mouth, but couldn't quite get it. Beckett also loves his hands.

Here is a cute clip of him playing and talking.

Beckett loves to move and play, so this toy is perfect for him!

GG and Beckett Together This Week

This week Beckett and his GG spent the week together. They had lots of fun together doing their exercises, snuggling, and singing songs. Here Beckett is having fun in his bouncy chair.
Beckett has recently discovered his feet. Here he is showing them off! They are pretty big feet for such a little boy. Grandma thought Beckett looked like a little pea in a pod in this outfit.

Indy 500

Grant, Beckett, and I flew out to Indianapolis on Memorial Day weekend to see Grant's dad and stepmom. The three flights and 10 hours of flying was not a good idea with a baby! I guess we like to learn things the hard way. Beckett was a trooper, but by the end of the exhausting travel day he was done! And we were too!!
Here is a picture of when Beckett was happy on the plane.

Here Grant and Beckett are waiting at the airport because our plane was delayed. Actually two out of the three flights were delayed for over 2 hours each! I think this trip was meant to teach us patience! I am not sure how well we did on that lesson. :) Beckett and I did not go to the race, but we did go to the track the day before the race to check out what all the excitement was about. Here are the five of us in front of the track.

Here the three generations of Lunde's are on the finish line. The bricks that they are standing on are the bricks that were used on the original track. The track is now covered with asphalt, except for this three feet wide section that is the finish line. The finish line runs all the way outside of the track.

Beckett strolling past the finish line. He was still a little tired here, from the traveling from the day before.

Here Beckett is getting into the racing spirit!

So was his dad!

Beckett finally woke up, so we could take some pictures of him at the track. I am not too sure he was ready to wake up!

Here the guys are in front of the 2010 Indy 500 pace car. Later that night Dan and Donna took us out to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. Here are the guys before dinner.

In the parking lot we saw the 1969 Indy 500 pace car. This was the year that Grant's grandpa attended the race. It was a neat moment we had to capture on film. Beckett slept through the 2 hour dinner and woke up just in time to see the fish and blue crab in the fish tank. He was very interested in watching them. The next day was race day! Beckett and I did not go to the race because it would have been too loud and hot! It was 95 degrees that day and even hotter down on the track. Beckett and I hung out at the hotel, but Beckett was still in the racing spirit. Look at his cute shirt!Playing with mom is so much more fun than racing!

Here is a video clip Grant took from the race.

Then it was time to head home. Don't let the picture fool you; it was a tough flight home. Beckett was definitely ready to be back in the cool Northwest and out of the plane!
