Children's Festival

On Monday the boys and I headed to the Children's Festival in Jacksonville.

 

There were tons of activities for the kids to participate in.

 The boys created several masterpieces.

 

GG came with us to the event and was a big help with the boys.

 One of the activities was leather creations.

 The boys put their names on their leather bracelets.

 The boys even got to gold mine, like Grandpa.

 The festival was at Britt, so there were entertainers on the stage.

 The boys enjoyed their first snow cone.

 They tasted delicious on the extremely hot day!

 Sterling was not a fan of the heat.  I ended up stripping him down to a diaper to stay cool.

 What a fun day!

4 Months

 

A little late...now he is 4 1/2 months old!

Willamette Park

On Saturday we headed to Willamette Park, to cool off at the splash pad.  

 The boys were excited to wear their new swimsuits that Grandma got them.

 Beckett is looking so much older these days.

 Beckett discovered that if he kept his foot over the fountain, it would build up pressure and...

 then the water would shoot up really high.

 Sterling even got his toes wet.

 Nana and the boys watched the ducks.

 Then we headed over to the playground.

 and played.

4th of July

Grandma came up to Portland to visit us for the 4th of July.

 We were so excited to see her.  In the morning, we headed to Hillsboro to watch the parade. 

 Who needs pack mules when you have a couple of daddies?

 This was the boys' favorite float.  They said it was a silly clown in a shoe.  They had no idea who Ronald McDonald was. 

 We have been blessed to meet some pretty amazing new friends up in Portland.  And reunite with old ones too!

 After the parade we headed back to the house to prepare a BBQ.

 After the BBQ, it was time for fireworks.

 The boys loved the sparklers.

 Maybe next year we will venture out to the bigger fireworks, but for the time being they are content with sparklers. 

 Sterling was fascinated by it all.

House Update

The housing market is a little crazy in Portland right now.  The first offer we put in on a house in Happy Valley was not accepted.  Currently we have two offers out.  One is a foreclosure in Happy Valley and one is a little house in West Linn.  Keep our family in your prayers as we continue in this house hunting adventure!!
