It is that time of year again...time to make lefse.

Summer Days

The last two days have been amazing weather.  It has felt like summer.  We have taken advantage of the sunshine, by spending lots of time at the beach.

 The boys have found a new favorite spot at our local beach.

 Good thing it is warm outside because that water is pretty chilly.

 Beckett loves to find treasures at the beach.

Coloring Contest

Today the boys dropped off their coloring contest pictures to the local paper.  They are already winners in our eyes. 

Reading Time

The other day Beckett dressed up his teddy bear and brought it out to the living room to read to it.

Letter J

This week we worked on the letter J.  The most important "J" word is Jesus.  Beckett went to Awanas with his friends and learned all about Jesus. 

 One evening we worked in the kitchen,

 making Jello.

A Little History

This afternoon we exposed our kiddos to a bit of history...renting a movie at the video store.

Daddy was on TV this week, promoting the "Stuff the Truck" program.  What a superstar!

Christmas Pinterest Party

Last night I hosted another Pinterest Party.  This time our theme was Christmas. 

 There were so many amazing projects and a few complicated ones too.

 The ladies had so much fun crafting

 and visiting with each other. 

 Even Baby Lillianna joined in the fun. 

 This was one of my favorite projects from the night. 

 

Towards the end of the party, Grant came out of hiding to take some pictures.  

 He captured all the mess

 and a picture of us with our projects.

Letter I

I just realized that I forgot to post last week's letter. Beckett worked on the letter I.

 He was excited to use the new pencils Mimi sent him to practice writing. 

 I is for Igloo.

 The boys made an igloo fort,

 where Beckett and Ellie hung out. 

 I is for Ice Cream.

 While we were at the beach, Beckett sat in the sand and wrote some of his letters.

Week with Papa

For the past 10 days, Papa has been visiting from Florida.

 

The boys have helped Papa in the kitchen 

 with making dinner

 and enjoyed his tasty treats (root beer floats).

 

One morning we headed to the park

 where we had lots of fun.

 This afternoon we headed to the beach.

 The sun was shining, so we all put on our shades.

 While we were at the beach, we did a little "treasure hunting"

 and explored the tide pools.
