Halloween 2013

Our little crime fighting duo was ready for action this afternoon.  First we headed to Daddy's work
 to do a little trick-or-treating.
When we got home the boys had so much fun looking at all the candy.  Beckett sat and organized it all.
Then it was off to go around the neighborhood.
 Trick-or-Treat
 Pure Joy
Then we headed to Grandma's church for a carnival.
 There were lots
 and lots of games.
 Auntie, Pierce, Beckett, Grandma
 Beckett LOVED all the games.
Pierce watched all the games carefully and figured them out.
The Bubble Room was a hit.
 More games
 and games.
We ended the night with a hayride.

Letter H

Our letter this week is H.
H is for horse.  This was the only horse I could come up with.
Today we worked on a project that involved scissors.
Pierce preferred to rip the paper.
 H is for hands.
Beckett made a big H
and Pierce made the little h.
H is for Halloween.  More pictures coming soon....
Here are a couple more pages for our ABC book.  We forgot to do G last week, so we did two pages this week.  I know, that hippo is a little creepy. :)

Haircuts

Today the boys got a couple of much needed hair cuts.
Haircuts are always fun, when there is a treat at the end.

AWANA

Beckett has been attending AWANA every Sunday night.  It is a program at a local church that teaches the kids about Jesus.  The kids learn scripture, play games, eat snacks and hear stories with puppets.  Beckett loves it.  Here he is the last couple of weeks...

Letter G

This week we focused on the letter G.
On Tuesday we headed to the Pieper's house,
to see their goats.  G is for goats.
 Pierce
and Beckett were able to feed the two goats.
Afterwards Holly brought out the bunny to pet
and feed.  Claire was an expert on the animals and taught the boys all about them.
 G is for golfing.
 Beckett takes it very seriously.
Daddy even got in on the action, using Beckett's clubs.
G is for go.  We like to go to the park
 and Kid Zone.
And finally G is for gorilla.  The boys' favorite book is "Good Night Gorilla" and all week Daddy pretended to be a gorilla, chasing the boys around the house.  This was the highlight of the week for them. And Daddy too!

Winner

Mr. Beckett won the pumpkin decorating contest at the library.  He got the award for most creative pumpkin in his age group.  Pierce received an honorable mention for his little pumpkin.

Downtown Trick-or-Treating

Today we participated in the downtown trick-or-treating.  We first stopped by the art center to decorate bags.

Beckett decided to make a masked bunny bag with Grandma.
Ta-Da
Then we headed out,
to do some trick-or-treating.
Beckett and Grandma walked,
while Pierce kicked back and enjoyed the ride.
One of the stops was Dairy Queen, where they gave the boys ice cream cones.
There has been so much wildlife out and about.  We saw a deer while we were trick-or-treating.  Tonight on the way home we saw a fox and 3 deer in our neighborhood.
There were so many fun shops that participated in the event.  The boys had a great time and ended up with way too much candy!
