Anniversary

Today was our anniversary!  It has been 13 years since our first date
and 9 years since our wedding.
Time flies when you are having fun!

Pool Sharks

Tonight the boys and I went out for pizza.  Afterwards the boys played a little pool.
Pierce loved it, but screamed every time his ball when in the hole.  Beckett was concentrating hard on hitting the ball.
We noticed that he stuck out his tongue every time he was trying to hit the ball.  A determined little face!!

Memorial Day Weekend

What a fun, eventful Memorial Day weekend!  The weekend started off with Nana coming to town.
Beckett got special Mickey Mouse pancakes.
The local bank brought in a bunch of bear statues and put them all over town.
 On Saturday we walked around
and took pictures in front of them.
Mommy found some matching old school Benny the Beaver hats for the boys.
They wore them ALL weekend long.
 The boys played some baseball.
Cousin Mason was in town for the weekend too.
Beckett enjoyed lots of quality time with Nana.
Today it rained all day long, so we enjoyed some indoor fun.
The boys made play dough creations.

It was a great weekend with family!

Slug Race

On Sunday we headed down to the "Party at the Port" and participated in the slug races.  The local ice cream shop, Slugs N' Stones Ice Cream Cones, puts on the annual event.  We did not have any slugs, so we rented a couple of them.  Beckett's slug we named Slime Lightening and Pierce's slug we named Old Pro.
Beckett listened to the instructions for the race.
Then it was time to put the slugs in the bags.  Beckett started screaming because his slimy slug was climbing out of his cup.
Daddy came to the rescue and put the slugs in the bags.
Once the slugs were in the bottom of the bag, they lowered the wood.  The first slug out of the bag was the winner.
 We watched with great anticipation!
A slug race really draws a crowd.
The boys did not win the slug race, but we celebrated anyway with some ice cream from Slugs N' Stones.

Azalea Festival Parade

The Azalea Festival was this weekend in Brookings.  On Saturday morning the boys got their lawn chairs and kicked back to watch the parade.
Mason and Beckett waved at all the floats that went by
and raced out to get the candy that was thrown.

Beckett ran into a few of his pals during the parade
and even got to see Lil' Tiger.

Catch of the Day

To kick off the Memorial Day weekend, we headed to the ODFW Kid's Fishing Pond.
Pierce had his first experience fishing, with Nana.
Beckett, along side Ollie and Evie, tried his luck.
Catch of the Day
Beckett asked Grandpa to cook his fish up for dinner.
Tasty!!
