Out in the Sun

The last few days have been gorgeous.  We have made sure to take advantage of every minute.  You never know when the rain and fog will be back!  Beckett met his friends at the park.  They enjoyed playing "Chase."

Today we spent part of the day up river. 

 Pierce enjoyed relaxing under the umbrella. 

Happy 8 Year Anniversary

Tonight Grant and I celebrated our 8th Wedding Anniversary.  We went to dinner at the Nautical Inn,

 where we had our rehearsal 8 years ago.  Here we are all those years ago...

Working in the Yard

Today we started on the task of cleaning up the garden beds. 

 We harvested the last of our lettuce, which grew amazingly well all winter long. 

 Pierce kicked back and watched all the hard work that was being done around him. 

 Beckett did take a short break to give Pierce a little love!

 Then it was back to work!   

Memorial Day

To celebrate Memorial Day, we headed down to the port where we watched the Memorial Day Veteran's Service. 

 Beckett has been asking to go up river, so we took a drive up there this afternoon.  It was too chilly to play in the water. 

However it was a good day to throw rocks and

 get smooches from Mommy!

 Then we headed to a BBQ, where Pierce had a little playtime with his buddy, Liam. 

 To end the day, Beckett and Mason enjoyed a bubble bath.

Fun with Cousins

Tonight we went over for Grandpa and Grandma's house for a BBQ and to hang out with family.  Beckett was so excited to spend time with his cousin, Mason.   

 Pierce was excited too!

Beckett's First Race

This morning Beckett ran in the Azalea Festival "Kids Mile Dash."  Daddy was Beckett's running partner for the race.  Although Beckett only made it around one lap, he was a champ in our eyes!

 Mommy and Pierce helped Beckett with the last stretch of the race.

Busy, Busy Day

We started the day by going to the fishing pond.  Beckett was excited to catch a "big fish!" that is, until he actually caught one!

 Once he caught it, he did not want to touch it or go near it. 

Finally after seeing another little boy carrying his fish, Beckett asked for his fish and proudly carried it around. 

 Next it was time to put on the pirate gear and head down to the parade.  This year the theme of the Azalea Festival was "Gem of the South Coast."  Daddy's work had a pirate ship float for the parade. 

 Daddy and Beckett went on the ship and this was Beckett's look, when he was not crying.  All the pirates scared him and he was not a happy camper. 

 Pierce on the other hand was indifferent to the whole thing!

 Instead of riding on the big ship, Daddy turned Beckett's wagon into "Mommy's Treasure Ship."

 All the parade fun was exhausting!

 Then it was off to the beach for more fun!  Beckett and Mason loved being together.

 The daddies built a great fire. 

 And we cooked up some hot dogs. 

 Beckett was excited to be with Auntie Tera!
