Mr. Helper

Beckett has been my little helper the last few days.  He did a great job with the vacuuming. 

 He is an awesome big brother.  The other day I was busy in the kitchen, when I saw Beckett sitting with Pierce reading a book. 

 As I looked closer, I saw that Beckett had given Pierce his own little book to read.  If you look really close, you can see it is Beckett's favorite bible story- Adam and Eve! :)

Lunch Date

This afternoon we had a lunch date, with the Olsons.  We headed down to Fely's Cafe and Laundry Mat (yes, I did say laundry mat!!).  The kids were so hungry and they couldn't wait for their burgers, so they had a little appetizer of jelly.

 Look at this hamburger!!  You might think that is disgustingly big, but boy oh boy, are they good!!!

 When we finished lunch, we headed across the street to the beach. 

 After so many storms, the beach was filled with driftwood. 

 Baby Pierce looked on at all the fun the kids were having.

Do They Look Alike?

The other day a friend asked me if I thought that Pierce looked like Beckett, when he was this age.  I wasn't sure???  So I went back through some pictures and found a comparison shot.  What do you think?

Beckett Escaped!

Yesterday's nap time was eventful!  I put this sweet little boy down to sleep in his crib and then headed to the kitchen to work on dinner. 

I was busy in the kitchen when I heard a door close.  Looking down the hall I saw all the bedroom doors open, except Beckett's door.  This started to worry me that maybe it was one of the outside doors.  I hurried around the house making sure all the doors were locked.  While I was in the middle of doing this, a quiet sound came from down the hall...open and shut!  I peered down the hallway and to my amazement Beckett's door opened and then shut.  I snuck down the hallway and opened the door to find...Beckett hiding behind his door cracking up!  When I asked him how he got out of the crib, he told me "blankets."  He had piled them up on his pillow and climbed out.  Here he is showing me how he got out...

 I told him he wasn't suppose to climb out and to stay in there for the rest of nap time, which he actually did.  So now what?!?  We are not sure we are ready to convert the crib to a toddler bed, but also do want him falling out of the crib while he is climbing.

Afternoon In the Sun

This afternoon the sun was shining, so we headed outside.  The boys put on their cute hats to keep their heads warm.

 We went for a walk around the neighborhood. 

 Then sat in the yard and

 colored with sidewalk chalk.  Even the neighbor joined in coloring. 

We love sunny days!!

Yesterday we did a little painting, with Q-Tips!  This was the best painting activity because the clean up was easy.  No brushes to wash!! :)

 You can see that Beckett was very serious about his art work.
