Memorial Day Weekend

We started off Memorial Day weekend with our first 10K race.  Here we are with our Hood to Coast team.

 After the race, we watched the Brookings parade with family and friends. 

 Beckett was a little distracted and not too interested in the parade.  He did like the balloon though!

 Auntie Tera came and watched the parade with us. 

 On Sunday we hosted a baby shower for Auntie Tera and Baby Mason.  Beckett is not too sure about sharing his auntie with the new baby.

 After the shower Grant and I headed up to the exciting city of Port Orford to celebrate our 7th anniversary. 

 We stayed at Redfish Loft, which is right above Redfish restaurant.  The food was amazing and the loft's view was beautiful!

Sunday Afternoon

Today we spent another afternoon up river.  Our friends were camping, so we went and spent the afternoon with them.  Here is Claire and Beckett looking cute!

 This time Beckett was prepared and in his swim gear.  Unfortunately it was not warm enough to get in the water.

 The Pieper family made a delicious lunch that we shared with them. 

Beckett had his first hot dog.  No worries, it was organic! :)

First Trip Up River

Today we went up river for the first time this year.  It was a gorgeous day!!

I didn't have Beckett wear his swim trunks because I thought the water would be too cold!!  Well shortly after this picture he decided it was time to go for a swim.  Beckett fell into the water, getting completely soaked.

Fun at the Pizza Parlor

Last night we went out for pizza.  Beckett was fascinated with all the kids and games.  We let him ride on one of the toys.  He LOVED it!  By the end of the ride he had a couple of red marks on his face from hitting the steering wheel. :(

Baking Cookies

Chef Beckett was back in the kitchen, baking cookies with Dad.

Beckett made sure he had the important ingredients before he started!

Ice Cream Fun

This afternoon we met our friends down at the port for some ice cream. 

 Beckett took a few bites of the ice cream, but ended up just running around with the cone.

Swimming Graduate

Today was Beckett's last swimming lesson.  Grandma was a trooper and joined him for the lesson.

 Beckett was very anxious to get in the pool.  He kept pulling Grandma's hand toward the pool.  Beckett definitely feels more comfortable around the water now. 

Beckett completed nearly all the skill requirements for this class, except for one.  Bobbing!  Now you can't hold that against him.  That was completely his momma's doing!  I told the instructor we will bob in the next session of classes.

Enjoying the Sun

The last few days have been beautiful, so we have been outside taking advantage of the nice weather. 

 We are starting to see progress in the garden.  If you look really close, you can see the broccoli in the center!

Reading the Paper

Beckett loves to read the morning paper with is momma, especially the Ray's ads.

 Okay maybe he is not into reading the paper yet, but he certainly loves ripping it up! 

Happy Mother's Day!

Today we celebrated Mother's Day at the Lunde house.

 Dad and Grandpa prepared a wonderful dinner for us and even washed the dishes!!

Special Mother's Day Gift

Saturday night Beckett spent time with Grandpa and Grandma, while Dad and Mom went on a date.  Little did Mom know that they were busy making a Mother's Day gift for the next day.

 Beckett, with the assistance of Grandpa and Grandma, potted a beautiful strawberry plant.

Wow!  What a great gift!!

 Mom was VERY excited when Beckett gave it to her. 

"All Shook Up"

On Friday Beckett met Elvis for the first time. 

We stopped by the local pharmacy, where they were celebrating their anniversary.  Beckett was not too sure about Elvis!

Either was Josiah, but his momma thought Elvis was pretty swell!

15 Months Old

Today Beckett had his 15 month check-up.  Don't you love the baby smock! :)

Beckett weighs 24 lbs and 11 oz.  He is a little above the 50th percentile for weight.  Beckett would not stand still for the height measurement, so I am not sure how accurate it is.  He measured in at 32.25 inches and is in the 80th percentile for height. 

Pool Party

Today Beckett and Dad did swim lessons together.

 The water was chillier today and Beckett kept looking for his momma, who was locked outside.  Apparently they don't like gawking parents on the pool deck, taking pictures!! 

 This was pretty much Beckett's facial expression the WHOLE time. 

Beckett continued to improve in kicking.  The instructor told Dad to bob him, but Dad wisely decided it was a little early for that!  Dad tried to float him on his back, but he did NOT like that one bit.  Beckett did like jumping off the pool deck into Dad's arms though!
