Grandpa and Grandma's House

Last night Beckett spent the evening with his grandpa and grandma, while his mom and dad went on a date. He was very excited, as you can see!He was a good helper, helping with the dishes. Beckett loves his grandpa and grandma! Thanks for letting us have a date night!!

Daddy's Little Helper

This morning Beckett was Daddy's little helper around the house.He loved playing with all the tools, especially figuring out how the measuring tape worked.

Another Beautiful Beach Day

This afternoon we headed to the beach for another beautiful day on the coast. The tide was out, so we had fun looking at all the tide pools. Beckett, Dad, and Ellie

Off to the Beach

It was a beautiful coastal day today. So this afternoon we headed to the beach. Beckett enjoyed playing with the driftwood,
hanging out with his pals,

and tasting a few rocks and sand!

Don't worry after I took the picture, I quickly removed the rock from his mouth. :)

Around the House

The last few days we have been feeling a little sick, so we have hung around the house. Beckett is an excellent helper with cleaning. He has enjoyed reading the paper. Actually ripping it to shreds!
Also Daddy has been teaching him to floss. Dad's dentist told him to start flossing Beckett's teeth. We weren't sure if he would like it....

but he actually loved it!

Lovin' the Park

Beckett is loving the park these days! There is so much to explore. He is still trying to figure out the slide and which way to go.

Oh No!

I have been letting Beckett play back in his room the past couple of weeks, while I am in the front of the house. This has worked well, since I close up at the doors in the hallway, except his bedroom door of course!! :) Well today I was busy cleaning and heard a door open in the back. I went running down the hallway and found him in the bathroom. I thought I must have not closed the door tightly. So I put him back in his room, closed the bathroom door securely, and went around the corner to see what he would do. Here he is in action...

Family Fun Outing- January

This year one of Grant's goals is to plan a family outing once a month. Our January outing was to Ocean World, in Crescent City. Beckett was not ready to hit the big waves this morning!
We were greeted by a creepy pirate, who terrified Beckett!

During the tour we saw lots of sharks, fish, and other sea creatures.

Beckett and the rock fish were fascinated with each other.

Then we got to play in the tide pools and touch starfish,

sea anemones, and

even pet a shark. We didn't let Beckett pet the shark, fearing he might grab a hold of it.

Of course had to stop during the tour for a photo op!

At the end of the tour, there was a show with the seals and sea lions. Beckett laughed and grunted, as they performed their tricks.

Great outing, Dad!

Morning at the Park

This morning was a beautiful day, so Beckett and I headed to the park. He loved standing at the slide and watching all the kids go down it. Eventually he tired of standing there watching all the other kids play, so he tried climbing up the slide. The swings were his favorite. Of course I didn't get any pictures of him smiling! :)

Into Everything

These days Beckett is getting into everything! Tonight he literally got INTO the dishwasher. I guess he wanted to help his mom with the dinner dishes!

20 More Days Until the Big One!

We are busy counting down the days until Beckett turns one. His party is going to be a Dr. Seuss theme. Tonight I was busy making the hats for the party, with a little help from some family. They were harder than I thought to make. But they sure look cute on the guys!

Favorite Time of Day

Bath time is Beckett's favorite time of day! It is his special time with his dad.

Trying to Get a Few Good Pictures

Today I was trying to get a few pictures of Beckett around the house.

As soon as he saw the camera, he would make this goofy face!

So I ended up with tons of pictures with his eyes closed and his mouth wide open! :)

Bye Bye Pacifier

Beckett has officially said "Bye Bye" to his pacifier. Not by choice, he actually lost it one day at nap time. Since he only had one pacifier that he would take and it was gone, we decided it was the perfect opportunity to break him of the habit. He only used the pacifier to go to sleep, so really only three times a day has been difficult. We are on Day 4 of No Pacifier! This is the last picture we have of him and the pacifier- July 2010.

For Christmas Auntie signed me up for a digital scrapbooking class at the college. Last night was my first class and here is my final project.

Our Little Carnivore

Tonight's dinner was elk, provided by Grandpa. I had not given Beckett any meat up until this point. He seemed interested so I gave him a little. A little was not enough for him! He kept coming back for more.

Vroom, Vroom

Another clip of Beckett and his car. I know, I know!! But this is what he spends his day doing. Notice that he has learned to say "no" to his mom already.

First Family Outing of 2011

It was a beautiful day on the coast, so we bundled up and headed to the beach. Beckett LOVED crawling on the sand. He was a busy boy playing!

Happy New Year

The Lunde's and Olson's rang in the New Year at Bandon Dunes.

On New Year's Eve the husbands went golfing, while the wives got massages. Then we celebrated the New Year at the lodge, with party hats and all! Beckett stayed at home with his grandma and celebrated the New Year.
Beckett played and played with his grandpa and grandma. He did not seem to miss his parents too much! Look at that face.

Beckett has been busy working on walking. He pushes his car around the house and walks behind it. Beckett was happy to see his parents (and the hat we brought him), but he was sad to see his grandma go home.
