Beckett's First Camping Trip

This weekend we celebrated my 29th birthday, by going camping at Howard's Prairie. Beckett's Nana drove down from Portland andhis grandpa and grandma drove over from Brookings, to camp with us. I was nervous that Beckett would freeze at night, so I had him wear this cozy outfit. He actually slept better there than at home. He only got up once during the night, when he usually gets up 2-3 times a night. On Saturday morning everyone got up to go fishing.
They unfortunately did not catch anything. Good thing we had a back up plan for dinner!

While everyone went fishing Beckett and I stayed back at camp. We had naps to take and books to read!Beckett enjoyed the nightly campfire and spending time with family. Even his GG drove up for the day to visit.

He really enjoyed hanging out in his pool.Overall it was a great trip!

Out on the Lake

Beckett's grandpa took us out on the lake for a boat ride.

Beckett's Great Aunt Kitty, Uncle Sets, and Kalie went out on the lake with us. It was Beckett and Kalie's first boat ride.

One afternoon we took Beckett down to the lake to play in the water. At first he was not too sure about the water splashing up by his feet...
but then he really started to have fun! Look at his chunky knees!!

New Things

Today Beckett had his first carrot! Not that he ate it, but he sure liked sucking on it. Only a few more weeks until he gets real food! We are counting down the days.

This afternoon Beckett was sitting in his highchair. I looked over and he had pulled himself up and was sitting up ALL BY HIMSELF! I was so excited and he was too! I think he was excited just because of my reaction. :)

Saturday with Beckett

Beckett LOVES to get up early. He must get that from his dad. Good thing they are both early birds, especially when Beckett gets up at 5:15 AM! Look at these smiling faces in the morning!!

Since Beckett gets up so early, he has lots of time to play with his toys. Here he is playing with the Disney car that his Nana and Great Grandma Naomi got him. This afternoon we went over to Grandma's house to see family. Beckett meet his Great Aunt Kitty and Uncle Sets. Also his cousin Honie Rose (seen below) and all his little cousins Lizzy, Jackson, and Kalie.
Beckett and Dad had fun relaxing in the backyard. Love the new hat. Thanks Honie Rose!! Beckett can wear this one when he is not on a safari.

This evening the Olson crew came over for dinner and fun! Here are the boys and Millie playing soccer.

Finally, Beckett's favorite time of day...bath time!

A goodnight story and off to bed. A full day of fun for Beckett!

Around the House

Here is a cute picture of Beckett in his highchair. He is finally starting to like sitting in it. I am sure he will love to sit in it once we start feeding him real food. Only a few more weeks and then he gets to try out some homemade baby food. Beckett's Grandpa Dan and Grandma Donna sent us a Beaba, which makes baby food. The Beaba steams the food and then purees it. I can't wait to try it out! Beckett LOVES his Jungle Jumper. That is a very excited face!

Grandma's Birthday

Last night we went over to Grandpa and Grandma's house for birthday dinner. We were celebrating Beckett's grandma's birthday. Here is Beckett and his grandma having fun in the backyard. Look at those smiles!!

4th of July Weekend

This weekend our friends, Kyle and Cassera, came down from Portland to celebrate the 4th with us. We had a great time! It was a beautiful weekend in Brookings and we spent a lot of time in the sun.

We went to the beach on the 4th. Beckett and his dad had lots of fun looking at the tidepools.

Today Baby Beckett is 5 Months Old!

Beckett is officially 5 months old today. Lately his favorite things are grabbing his toes and blowing bubbles. It is amazing to watch him grow, learn, and discover each day!
