Redmond Triathlon

On Saturday Grant competed in the Redmond Rat Race Triathlon.  Grant started off with swimming in the pool.

The kids cheered Daddy on from the pool window.

 Next was the bike ride.

 Last was the 5K race.

 After the daddy's race, the kids were up for the kid's triathlon. There was a long and short kid's race.

 The three older kids went first.  The first section of the race was the water obstacle course.

 The two littles watched and got ready for their race.

Then it was the short kid's triathlon.

 The local fire department came and sprayed the kids.

Camping in the Park

On Saturday our parks and recreation department had a city camping event.

 Beckett was super excited for more camping!

Birds of Prey came and the boys got to see a couple of owls up close.

 There was a nature identification booth,

 where afterwards the kids got to walk through the park, identifying all the things they had just learned.

 The kids put on their headlamps and got ready for the evening nature hike.

 Unfortunately we were a little slow and were late, missing the group hike.  Fortunately, we had headlamps and adventurous kiddos.  So we made our own group hike!

 Momma and the two little went home to sleep, but Daddy and the two bigs camped overnight.
