Swim Lessons Continue

The boys have completed 2 of the 4 weeks of swim lessons.
This is Pierce's reaction to getting splashed...he does NOT love it.
And the majority of the class is spent having the kids get use to water in their face.
We got him swim goggles and they seem to be helping a little.
One year has made such a huge difference for Beckett and the water.  He loves it and has no problem with water in his face.  SO very different from years past!
Beckett's class is focusing on front floats and back floats.  Beckett's teacher said he has mastered the front float but needs to work more on the back float.
Here is a video of Beckett's front float....

Tball in the Rain

Sweet Sterling

Playhouse

The award for "Best Daddy" goes to ours!!! Look what Daddy put together this weekend.
We were super blessed to be given this set.  Daddy and Uncle Neal put together the swing set and put it down in the "dig pit" area of our yard.
After replacing some of the wood and making some adjustments, the kids were ready to play.
These two have been outside playing ever since!

Tryon State Park

This morning we headed to Tryon State Park.
They had an awesome kids area to explore,
but Sterling was ready to go!
The park is less than 10 minutes from our house and filled with hiking trails.
Poor Pierce was scared during the hike because Beckett told him there was a Red Fox Bridge.  The whole time Pierce was worried there was going to be a fox, so he insisted on holding someones hand.
Originally Mommy was going to pack Sterling in the backpack, even though he weighs a TON these days!  But we saw lots of people with strollers, so we decided the stroller would be easier on Mommy.  Little did we know that the people with strollers must have stayed on the trails close to the Nature Center.  We ended up on quite the stroller adventure!  Stairs, steep terrain, mud, etc.
Marcie and the Boys
There were lots of little bridges along the way.
The map was super hard to read, so we ended up getting pretty far into the state park.
Along the way we found some awesome trees
 and places to explore.
It was a beautiful day to be in nature!
After a couple of hours, we were all pretty exhausted but still far from the car!
Look at that face!  Good thing Marcie was there to give him a piggy back ride!
But the good news we made it!  After 3 hours and 2.5 miles of crazy trails, we found the parking lot!
