Mason's 2nd Birthday

The big reason we went to Portland this weekend was to celebrate cousin Mason's 2nd birthday.
It was a warm summer day, so all the kids put on their swim clothes.
 Ready, Set...
 Go!!!
The kids helped Mason open his presents.
Here is Mason opening the backpack we got him.
Looks like someone is ready for school!
The party theme was Cars and Mason had the cutest cake.
Mason and a few of his cousins
 Yummy!
Happy Birthday, Mason!  We love you very much!!

Happy Birthday, Liam!

Last week our little friend, Liam, had his 2nd birthday.
The party was at the new indoor play center,
 where lots of friends came!
The party theme was beach.  Look at this amazing watermelon that they carved!

32nd Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated my birthday and Uncle Brent's birthday (a few days early!).
We opened lots of fun gifts
and of course Beckett was right there to assist Uncle Brent in opening his gifts.
Beckett made me a very special card!
Pierce ran around holding cards, just like big brother!
After all the birthday festivities, the boys put training wheels on the "new" bike the Olsons gave Beckett.
 And he was off!

That is one happy boy!

Blueberry Pickin'

This morning we headed back up to the blueberry farm to do some pickin'.  The kids did a great job at the beginning, but soon became distracted by the miniature horses.  Silly Beckett ended up with the bucket over his head!  Good thing it was not the full one. :)

Swim Lessons

On Friday Daddy came to swim lessons to help out.  Pierce was very confused why Mommy was not in the pool with him.
Pierce quickly got over it and started swimming.
He loves to swim to his teacher,
but floating on his back is not his favorite.
At the end of each class the babies stand on the side of the pool
 and jump in!
Beckett has been having a blast in his Guppy Class.
Beckett has been getting better each day about floating on his back.
He has lots of fun in the class with his best friend, Millie.

Barrel to Keg Relay Race

This weekend Grant and I competed in a 69 mile relay race, called Barrel to Keg.  This was the second year our team of six ran in the race.  The race started in Philomath at Harrisbridge Winery and ended in Newport at Rogue Brewery.  It was a LONG and DIFFICULT race, but we made it!  Here is the happy team at the finish line!

No More Hair

Several months back Grant and another coworker agreed to shave their heads if the company raised $10,000 for Relay for Life.  The C&K Cancer Ninjas did just that!  They raised all the money, so today Grant lost his hair.

The boys and I came down to the big event, but they were not too sure about it all.
Jimmy, one of Grant's coworkers, bid the highest amount to have the honor of shaving his head.
 Here goes...
The boys did not think it was funny
 at ALL!
Jimmy took the job very serious.
The thing you must know about Jimmy is that he is a Oregon Duck fan
and that means he had to break out the yellow and green!
 Definitely NOT Grant's favorite colors!
Jimmy left a little patch in the front
and had a some fun with Grant.
Grant was such a good sport about the whole thing!
Then the hair was all gone!
 Ta-Da!
Even a friendly handshake at the end.
Grant with his coworker, Steve, who had his head shaved last month
Steve's hair has already grown quite a bit, so that is something to be hopefully about!
 The Happy Lunde Family
YIKES!  That is a lot of hair left in the parking lot!
Our sweet neighbor, Rachael, brought Beckett a special treat this afternoon.  She saw how sad he was during the shaving, so she brought him root-beer floats!
