Hike to the Beach

Three days in a row of amazing weather!!!  So today we took advantage of the sunshiny day and met some friends for a little hike.

 Pure Excitement!

 Little Pierce kicked back and enjoyed the hike on Mommy's back.

 while Pierce played in the sand.

What a Beautiful Day!

Today was a beautiful Brookings day!  We took advantage of the 80 degree weather and spent lots of time outside playing. 

Bonfire at the Beach

On Saturday night we headed to the beach

 where we met some of our friends

 for a bonfire.

 We cooked up some yummy hot dogs and smores and

 enjoyed the fire. 

 It was a sweet time with friends!

 There was lots of time to play in the sand too.

Such a great way to spend a Saturday night!

Pizza Party

On Friday we went to our friends house for a pizza party. 

 

 All the kids made their own pizza,

 

topped with all the goodies.  

 YUMMY!

 

 Then it was time to eat!

 Pierce enjoyed each and every bite of his pizza.

 These two little cuties pies sat there for over 30 minutes.  That is a record for Pierce sitting in the same place for that long.  It must have been the pizza!

Pickle Gift

Every year at Christmas our family hides a pickle ornament on the Christmas tree and whoever finds it gets a special present.  Last year Beckett found the ornament and it was a day trip to the West Coast Game Park and lunch.

 So today we headed to Bandon, so Beckett could redeem his gift. 

 There were lots of new animals to meet. 

 Some of them were behind cages

 and some of them were wondering around.

 We preferred the ones in the cages. 

 There were lots of animals loose and running around.  The goats (not pictured due to struggling to keep them off the boys) were a little aggressive and jumped on us.  There were a few tears shed and Beckett told us that those goats were really bothering him. :(

 

We enjoyed seeing all the different animals that we read about in books!

 Pierce loved it too!

 He kept pointing at the animals and trying to tell us something. 

 There was a bobcat you could pet.  Pierce was NOT interested at all. 

 But brave Beckett wanted to!

 They had a couple of baby bears

 and even an Apricot Skunk that you could pet. 

 We ended the day having lunch.

Carnival

Tonight was Carnival Night in Brookings. 

 We headed to the elementary school for all the fun.

 Pierce was really into the carnival.  He wanted to do everything Big Brother did, including giving his own tickets. 

 Pierce even won a cake!

 Beckett practiced his putting, in Mommy's old classroom. 

 His favorite game was the Angry Bird Toss.

 We left the carnival with lots of goodies, including two balloon swords!
