Some Fresh Air

This morning we took a little walk around the neighborhood to get some fresh air.  Pierce hopped in the wagon
 and Beckett grabbed his scooter
 and off we went.
Beckett even practiced riding his "motorcycle" down the street.  His legs are still a little short for it, but he certainly tried!
Then this afternoon the sun was shining, so we headed to the backyard for a little fun.

Pink Eye

Our Little Pierce has pink eye.  Poor kid! :(
So we have spent the last couple of days hanging around the house.  Beckett has been a big help, especially with the cleaning. :)

Trip to Portland

This weekend we went up to Portland.  We stayed at Cousin Mason's house and boy, did the boys have fun!
They thought it was one big slumber party!
Lots and lots of playing went on throughout the weekend. :)
While we were in Portland, we got to see Papa and have dinner in a train.
After dinner we stopped to play a few games.  All three Lundes played the racing game at the same time (Papa and Beckett steered, while Daddy pushed the gas).
Pierce wanted in on the fun too!
Beckett was so excited to see his best buddy, Josiah, who had recently moved to Portland.
We met them at the mall one morning and played and played and played!
While I got a few snuggles from Miss Annabelle.  Love those cheeks!!
We went over to Josiah's for dinner one night and the fun continued with the boys.
 These are two very busy
and excited little guys!  They were excited for Jessica's yummy dessert. :)
We also got to spend some time with Grandpa Frank, Grandma Naomi and Nana.  We went to church with them and then headed back to the house for lunch.  Grandma Naomi spoiled the boys with the best lunch and lots of fun toys to play with.
Pierce was sure happy to see his nana.
Then it was time to go!  The weekend was busy and full of time with family and friends.  We always hate to leave but know we will be back soon. :)

Grammy Lunde

Grammy Lunde passed away a few days after Christmas.
Grant, Grammy Lunde and Beckett- February 2011

We feel blessed that both our boys were able to meet her and spend time with this special woman.
Grammy Lunde, Beckett and Pierce- April 2012
This last Thanksgiving we spent the holiday with her and had a wonderful time.
Thanksgiving 2012
The purpose of our trip to Portland was to go to Grammy Lunde's Celebration of Life.  The boys got all dressed up
and headed to the church where we saw LOTS of family.
Papa flew in from Florida for the celebration.  Here he is with his two boys, two daughter-in-laws and two grandsons....
Grammy Lunde will be greatly missed and remembered.  We are so excited for her to be with her husband again in Heaven! :)

A Bunch of Sickies

The flu bug hit the Lunde house hard this past weekend/week.  So we have spent the week recuperating and having fun!

I think someone loves his big brother. :)
Beckett's favorite game is Candy Land and we have played it A LOT this week.
We also have spent lots of time with puzzles.
Today we broke out the play dough tools, only to discover some very icky looking play dough.
So we took the old play dough that really needed to be thrown away and made Play Dough Soup!
This was quite the activity.  Beckett spent over 30 minutes making it!
The boys always love their snack time.  We sure have missed our friends this week, but are so glad that we have each other!
Of course we made a craft or two!
Lots of time has been spent in the kitchen, that is the play kitchen. :)
We have a future little chef on our hands!

Mr. Pierce Turned ONE!!!

Today we celebrated Mr. Pierce's first birthday!
We had a few friends over for some birthday fun.
The theme of the party was "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" which is one of Pierce's favorite books.  When guests arrived, they signed his book with birthday messages.
We had a Hungry Caterpillar photo booth,
 which was super cute!
 There was a caterpillar tunnel,
 caterpillar bowling,
and even caterpillar bookmarks that the kids made.
 The kids used their thumbprints
to make these!  Notice that on Beckett's caterpillar he added a mustache. :).
We also had a Hungry Caterpillar bean bag toss,
 coloring
 and a caterpillar hunt.
The kids searched the backyard for these cute little guys!
Even the little ones found one!
There was an abundance of caterpillar decor,
but a favorite was the caterpillar with a year of pictures of Pierce.
 The Party in Full Swing
Then Daddy read all the kids the story, "The Hungry Caterpillar"
 which the kids loved!
This was one of the rare times Pierce actually sat on Daddy's lap through a whole book.  During the story the kids learned about the food that the caterpillar ate
and then they got to eat it.
We had everything that was in the story, except plums which we could not find anywhere.  So we substituted grapes. :)
Pierce enjoyed eating what the caterpillar had eaten
 and so did Cousin Mason.
 YUMMY!
A special part of the party was the cake that Grandma made for Pierce.
And we had a few other desserts
 from the story too.
Pierce got his very own smash cake, which he loved,
 loved,
 LOVED!
Beckett wanted to make sure that we saw he got messy too!

The party was lots of fun, especially because of the fun family and friends that came!
 Pierce is one loved boy!
It was fun to watch the little ones play.
Our sweet friend, Kyle, even wore a caterpillar knit hat to the party!
 A Fun Bunch!
Happy Birthday, Pierce!  We love you!!
