Activities from the Weekend

Friday we headed over to the valley for mommy's postpartum doctor's appointment.  Since we were over there, we decided to spend the night at GG's house.  Beckett had lots of fun with GG.  He helped her around the house and even had a morning cup of tea with her.
 Reading Books with GG
The big event from the weekend...Beckett is officially in big boy underwear.  We said goodbye to the diapers this morning and he has done a great job using the potty!!
Beckett was invited to a Valentine's Day party tomorrow.  So this evening we made a few cards for the party.

 Finished Project
We had high hopes of making a bunch of cards for the party, but we ended up calling it quits after making eight.  That is a lot of work for a 2 year old!
Here is Beckett's artwork in the card...
As you can see there are not any pictures of Pierce from the weekend.  Apparently I jinxed myself by writing on the blog Thursday night that we had a great day.  The following two days were rough.  Pierce cried for the majority of Friday and Saturday.  Today we went to the store and bought gripe water.  We heard that it sometimes helps with colicky babies, so we thought it was worth a shot.  He has only taken it once this evening and it did seem to help.  The crying/screaming is hard to hear, but this video shows that it is all worth it.  This was a quick moment in the day, when he was happy! :)

Good Day

Today was a good day!
Pierce has been a fussy baby since we brought him home from the hospital, but I think that might just be changing.  Today the majority of the day he was content, with little crying.  I can't say it enough...what a good day!

Around the House

Pierce loves his binkie.  I try and remember to take it out, when I take pictures of him.
But when I do take it out, this happens...
 A Boy and His Dog
This afternoon we decided it was time to break out the crafts!
Beckett did a little finger painting, well actually it was more like hand painting.
I had seen an activity that was less messy on Pinterest, so we tried it.  You put the paint in a bag and then the kid finger paints through the bag.
It is a cute idea, but after doing the messy painting Beckett did not want to stay clean.  This activity lasted about 30 seconds.
During all of this crafty fun, Pierce slept.

2 Year Check Up

Today Beckett had his 2 year check up.  Their findings...one healthy little boy!
Beckett is 3 feet tall and between the 77-90 percentile in height.  He weighs 30 pounds and is between the 50-75 percentile for weight.

Family Photos

While Papa and Mimi were here, we had family photos taken.  Nikki Hart, with Sweetharts Photography, did an amazing job.
It was difficult to get a decent shot of the four of us.  Pierce was screaming in a lot of them, but this one he stopped for the pic!

We also had some newborn pictures taken of Pierce.
By the end of the shoot, Pierce was exhausted and passed out.

Look at those blue eyes.  Do you think they will stay that color??

Fun with Family

This weekend we were able to see a lot of family.  Baby Mason came down from Portland and had a play date with Beckett.
 The Cousins
Two very serious Lunde kids and one happy Mason
Papa and Mimi came all the way from Florida!
GG came to the coast and gave Pierce lots of snuggles.
Uncle Brett and Aunt Heidi came too!  They were super helpers at the birthday party.
Aunt Heidi got a few snuggles in with Pierce too!

Birthday Extravaganza Weekend

This weekend was a Birthday Extravaganza Weekend.  We had Beckett's birthday party a day early on Saturday.
Saturday was really Daddy's birthday.  So that night we went to Grandpa and Grandma's house for dinner and to celebrate.  Beckett still thought it was his birthday and wanted to open the presents.
Daddy even got a birthday banner!
On Sunday we let Beckett open all of his presents.
 Super Beckett
Thanks Olson Family for the awesome super hero costume!
He wore the costume to open the rest of his presents.
Sunday was also Pierce's 1 month birthday.
He celebrated by snuggling with Mommy on the couch. :)

Thomas the Train 2nd Birthday

Our little boy turned the big 2 this weekend!  Beckett has been interested in Thomas the Train, so we threw him a Thomas 2nd Birthday Party!
Lots of people came to the party and even Sir Topham was there to greet everyone!
There was a kid station with lots of goodies to eat.
And we even had a little something for the adults too.
Beckett enjoyed his lunch and ate with GG.
There were lots of activities going on at the party.  We had Thomas tattoos, which were professionally put on by Aunt Mandy.
 There was coloring.
Papa and Mimi sent 65 pounds worth of Thomas the Train tracks and gear to Beckett for his birthday.  At the party we put out all of it and had a train room.
The kids played and played in there for most of the party.
 What a great gift!
Of course there were games too!
The kids played Pin the Smokestack on Thomas and we had a train bean bag toss.
The kids won a conductor hat, handkerchief, and train whistle, when they played the games.
Even Daddy dressed up!
Daddy made a pull string pinata that the kids loved!
 Everyone got their own string,
which was a lot of strings!  And then they pulled...
There was a mad dash for the candy.
Beckett was very excited to get a sucker from the pinata.
Then it was time to sing Happy Birthday to Beckett.  He had a huge smile as everyone sang to him.

We had practiced for the past couple of weeks blowing out candles and all that hard work paid off.
 Yummy Cupcakes!!
Beckett had so many wonderful friends come to the party!
Choo-Choo, our Beckett Boy is 2!
We had one exhausted little boy after the party.  He fell asleep in the car, while still holding onto his trains.
