Beware: Lots of Party Pictures

Today we celebrated Beckett turning one. We invited some of Beckett's family and friends over for lunch and to play. Beckett showing off his Dr. Seuss shirt. There were lots of fun friends there!!Even Beckett's GG came dressed in her Dr. Seuss hat. Beckett was a little apprehensive about his first cupcake. We were planning for a big mess and this was the worst of it. We played "Pin the Hat on the Cat."And then the real Cat showed up! And he even brought us all hats to wear. Then Cat read everyone a story. Most of the kids liked it, but there were a few hiding in the other room. :(Even Grandpa and Uncle Neal liked the story and hats. Beckett had lots of presents to open. He was more interested in the kids than the presents.
Eventually he opened a few. Future ParentsFour Generations
What a great day! We are truly blessed to have been given this addition to our family one year ago.

Beckett's First Bithday Bash

After a month of planning, Beckett's first birthday arrived! The theme of the party was Dr. Seuss. Here are his rally flags and the beta fish that were given out as party favors. Here is the entry table, with the book (Happy Birthday to You! By Dr. Seuss) that everyone signed when they arrived. Here is his birthday banner and labeled waters. Here is a little yummy food... green eggs and ham (sandwiches). How about some red fish and blue fish?

And of course some cupcakes!! And Beckett's special 1 cupcake!

Grant's 31st Birthday

For Grant's 31st birthday, we went out to pizza. The Duvall's came down to help celebrate. Beckett and Grandpa ate LOTS of pizza together.
Then we headed back to the house for some yummy homemade cheesecake. Best of Cousins!
This year Grant had a lot of candles to blow out.Look at all that smoke!!!!!!

One Year Check-Up

Today Beckett had his one year check-up. He had a great time playing in the waiting room with the toys. However the appointment was not all fun. Beckett had to get two shots, which he was not happy about!

Beckett now weighs 22 pounds, 13 ounces and is in the 50th percentile for weight. He is 31.5 inches tall and is still in the 90th percentile for height.

I Promise He Does Smile

Every time we are in public Beckett has a very serious look and people ask me if he ever smiles. I promise he does, just not in public! Here he is smiling and having a great time playing with his dad...

Last night Beckett spent the evening with his grandpa and grandma, while his mom and dad went on a date. He was very excited, as you can see!He was a good helper, helping with the dishes. Beckett loves his grandpa and grandma! Thanks for letting us have a date night!!

Daddy's Little Helper

This morning Beckett was Daddy's little helper around the house. He loved playing with all the tools, especially figuring out how the measuring tape worked.

Off to the Beach

It was a beautiful coastal day today. So this afternoon we headed to the beach. Beckett enjoyed playing with the driftwood,
hanging out with his pals,
and tasting a few rocks and sand!
Don't worry after I took the picture, I quickly removed the rock from his mouth. :)
