Fun In the Sun

Today we enjoyed a beautiful sunny day in Brookings. Beckett's Nana got him this fun shade tent and we decided to put it to use. Beckett took a nice long nap in it and enjoyed playing in it as well. What a fun Beaver Orange tent!!

12 Weeks Old

Beckett's is officially 12 weeks old. Check out his fancy pjs that Auntie Tera and Mom found in Portland!!
Beckett is getting stronger and stronger everyday. His neck is getting strong enough where today we were able to turn him around facing forward in the Baby Bjorn.

Beckett enjoys playing on his blanket with all of his toys. Bev Rose made him this beautiful quilt that has his name on it. I promise he does smile sometimes!!

The last couple of days Beckett has been grabbing his knees and pulling on them. Here he is doing it and showing off his big feet! Today he discovered his feet. It was interesting watching him stare at them and move them. Next I am sure they will be in his mouth!

Fun Videos of our Little Man

I know these videos don't show Beckett doing much, but for a mom they are very amusing! Beckett likes to talk and smile these days.

Beckett LOVES his hands! He still uses his pacifier sometimes, but when he can find his hands and fingers he prefers them. I think we have a future thumb sucker on our hands!!

Books, Books, and More Books!!

During our Portland trip we went to Powell's Bookstore and picked up some new board books for Beckett. We thought it was might be a little early for him and books, but he surprised us.

Birthday Brunch with Auntie Tera

It was Beckett's Aunt Tera's birthday while we were in Portland. The five of us went to a delicious brunch at Screen Door, in Northeast Portland. There was a line down the block to get in, but it was worth the wait!

Beckett and Auntie Tera patiently waiting for a table. No worries...it gave them more time to cuddle!

Neal and Grant anxiously awaiting their breakfast.

This is what Grant ordered...chicken and waffles. There are three pieces of fried chicken on top of a waffle. The restaurant is known for this plate. Grant said it was surprising good, but he was full for the rest of the day!

Beckett's First Baseball Game

While we were in Portland, Beckett went to his first baseball game. His Uncle Eric was playing baseball for Tigard High School against Newberg High School. Uncle Eric's team won!

Trip to Portland

This last weekend we drove up to Portland. Here is our very crowded back seat. Good thing Ellie is such a patient dog.
We celebrated Mother's Day a little early, with Beckett's Nana, Great Grandpa, and Great Grandma. Kathy cooked a great meal and we enjoyed spending time with the family. Here is Beckett snuggling with his Great Grandma Naomi. He LOVES to snuggle.
Uncle Brett came by to see his favorite nephew.
Beckett showing off his great outfit. It is one of his Daddy's favorites!!

Beckett's 2 Month Check-Up

Beckett had his 2 month check-up on Friday. Grant had a meeting, so Beckett's grandma went with us. Beckett had to get his first set of shots, so we both needed Grandma's support! The doctor told us that he now weighs 13 pounds, 10 ounces. He is in the 75th percentile for weight. Beckett is 25 1/2 inches long, which means he is in the 97th percentile for height. The doctor said he is a big, healthy boy!! After the appointment we went out to celebrate Beckett being a champ at the doctor's office. Here is Beckett and Grandma trying to decide what to order.
And here is Beckett dreaming of his shots being over with!!

A Few Things Beckett Loves...

Beckett loves to spend time with his grandma. She likes to babysit for him, while his mom and dad go on dates!!
Beckett is not too interested in toys yet, but he loves this toy giraffe that Mary got for him. Look at him grab on to it! He is very serious about this giraffe. :)
Even though this picture does not show how much he likes it, Beckett loves to wear polo shirts just like his dad. He might be frowning because this one was a little small. I just pulled it out of the drawer because it was a 6 month size, but it is already too small. Bummer!
